St. Mary's statement match against Claremont silenced any doubters. It was a clinic. Admission was free. The squad, along with Cal, is 3-0 in the Pacific, which is setting up a huge home match against the Golden Bears on April 10.
Kutztown, after losing at home in a tough loss to Penn State, lost again at home, this time to the Black Knights. Kutztown, a first half team thus far this CPD season led 27-10 at the break. However, the Black Knights rode an equally dominant second half to a stunning comeback. 2-0 in the East.
Tennessee, coming off a huge loss at the hands of Life, earned its first win in the CPD over A&M. The tightly contested matched was tied 25-25 with ten minutes to go, until a penalty set up the Vols for a winning kick.
It wouldn't take a Brandon Lang to predict the outcome of this match. BYU looks to be in championship form already, as it demoralized another CPD opponent.
In this East/Mid-South cross-conference match, Notre Dame traveled to Ohio to take on the Buckeyes in a match that benefited the ProScan Fun. (highlights made by Ohio State Rugby)

Rutgers went up to West Point to take on the Black Knights. The Army backs proved overwhelming and the Scarlet Knight's powerful pack could not keep up with the torrid scoring pace.
The Arizona Wildcats were ready for battle with camouflage jerseys and a pre-game military helicopter landing. Almost all objectives were complete as they dominated Wyoming with superior athleticism and finishing ability.
The match was held at Jesuit High School in Sacramento. The proceeds went to help the growth of high school rugby. Cal scored 16 tries in a 106 rout of a very young UC Davis team. That's life in the CPD.
In a tightly contested match, Notre Dame produced the CPD's first upset over the home team, LSU. Led by an extremely stingy defense, the Irish were able to claw back from an 11 point deficit and steal the win. Both defenses were able to keep the score low with big hits and tough grit, which emphasized the importance of each possession. However, the Notre Dame backline was finally able to break LSU's defense for the deciding try.
Jumping from D2 to the College Premier Division, few thought Arizona State would be a force. But with the help of two new players from the Sun Devils' football team and a roster that has matured, ASU has proven to be a contender. The Utes discovered this when they went into ASU's soccer stadium and were met with a staunch defense and powerful running from the home team. Unfortunately for the Sun Devils, they too often took penalty kicks and missed them instead of trying to hammer in a decisive try. Should be a great season for both teams.
Oklahoma went into College Station for a bid to win its first big time match in the College Premier Division, but it was the Aggies home and they did enough to come away with the win in very windy conditions.
BYU came into Colorado and blew the doors off in a win over the Buffaloes. 7 tries by BYU #8 Ryan Roundy alone. Colorado had possession for some stretches of the match but could never make much headway. BYU was just bigger, stronger, and more explosive.
University of Colorado met Colorado State in Glendale's Infinity Park for their first match in the West Conference of the College Premier Division. Evenly matched physically, Colorado made the most of its chances with great strikes and finishes.
Arkansas State traveled to Baton Rouge to play LSU in their College Premier Division Mid-South opener. LSU had some chances but was not able to capitalize on any of them, and ASU was relentless in the pressure it put on LSU's defense.
